**JOB DESCRIPTION**

As Eatertainment continues to grow in this exciting and fast paced industry, our company provides an excellent opportunity to work side-by-side our team of seasoned event pros in the newly renovated Design Exchange venue, executing some of the most outstanding and unique corporate & wedding/social events in Toronto.

Working as the lead onsite contact for all aspects of the event, this is a fast-paced and critical leadership role that ensures the success of each event and delivers outstanding client and guest experiences.

Eatertainment is one of the most recognized and reputable event and catering companies in the country.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure the smooth daily operation of the event, including management of servers, bartenders, porters and vendor load in
- Responsible for the operations of the event including maintaining point of contact with the day of event client
- Organize & coordinate room set-ups and food and beverage services for corporate and social/wedding events up to 1000 guests
- Conduct inspections of equipment & facilities, reporting any deficiencies to Operations Manager
- Work closely and communicate effectively with all staff for each catering event
- Ensures all aspects of event is outstanding (ie. setup, service, problem solving, timing, cleanliness)
- Review and execute Venue Event packages with Event & Catering Coordinator prior to each event and prepare post event notes
- Coordinate with chef and his staff on the execution of meal service for all events
- Communicate guest satisfaction and concerns that arise in respect to food and service
- Ensure that equipment needs are adequately maintained and inventories kept
- Other duties as assigned

**SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS**
- Excellent communication skills (written, proof reading and speaking)
- Must be able to work under deadlines with and without supervision
- Must be extremely organized and able to multi-task
- Knowledge and understanding of event rental orders
- Must demonstrate team leadership qualities
- Have an exceptional attention to detail
- Should be proficient on computers
- Great personality, outgoing and love working with people

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum 1 year in food and beverage
- Ability to also work evenings and weekends
- Previous experience in catering & events required, preferably in a team leadership or supervisory role
- Valid Smart Serve certification required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-35 per week

**Salary**: $24.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
