**Job Description**:
This position will occasionally support all MLSE venues but will be primarily positioned at BMO Field and Coca Cola Coliseum. While supporting all aspects of Venue Technology’s event-based business, the Supervisor, Technical Production will be focused on planning, administrating, staffing and supervising sports and entertainment production technology. This includes broadcast integration and support, control room operations, game presentation and temporary AV activations.
- Lead planning, coordination and execution of technical requirements for events of all sizes, including league sport presentations, venue rentals, eSports, virtual productions, commercial shoots, internal meetings, live entertainment and hosted international events.
- Maintain meaningful relationships with a variety of stakeholders, clients, partners and operational staff.
- Prepare estimates and manage settlement for Venue Technology services and rentals.
- Identify operator requirements. Issue requests for union services and schedule full time and contingent workers as required.
- Contribute to the planning and development of department-wide inventory and training documentation.
- Represent the department in pre-production meetings, providing feedback and updates
- Provide functional direction and event-based supervision of unionized operators.
- Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with union leads, operators and property management teams.
- Foster a positive, innovative and safe work environment.
- Work with appropriate stakeholders to develop and support health and safety initiatives with specific focus on our operations.
- Respond to dispatched calls for support by effectively troubleshooting tier 1 broadcast and audiovisual system outages with the support of appropriate staff.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:
- Working knowledge of live broadcast and venue presentation control room environments.
- Established familiarity with broadcast mobile productions.
- Significant experience supervising event-based staff, including union and contracted staff.
- Ability to demonstrate familiarity with occupational health and safety guidelines and governance.
- Exceptional organization, interpersonal, time management and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrates unmatched enthusiasm for live sports and entertainment production.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to operate control room presentation equipment including switchers, camera control units, audio consoles and video playback systems considered an asset.
