Event Coordinator

Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing various events. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong time management abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
**Duties**:
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, vendor management, and logistics
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring expenses are within allocated funds
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials and strategies for events
- Communicate with clients to understand their event requirements and provide regular updates on event progress
- Coordinate event setup and breakdown, including arranging seating, decorations, and audiovisual equipment
- Manage event registration processes and handle attendee inquiries
- Oversee event operations on the day of the event to ensure smooth execution
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
**Experience**:
- Proven experience as an Event Coordinator or similar role in the hospitality industry
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and team members
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management for events
- Knowledge of market trends in the event industry and ability to incorporate innovative ideas into event planning
- Experience in upselling services or products during events is a plus
- Familiarity with guest services and providing exceptional hospitality experiences
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred
- Proven experience in event planning or coordination roles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
