**Job Summary**
- As an Assistant Night Manager, you are responsible for administering_ _all night audit functions while ensuring guest satisfaction and safety._

**Role and Responsibilities**
- _Manages the functions of the Front Office at night, ensuring smooth check in and check out of guests._
- _Prepares the statistical summaries reporting the daily revenue of each outlet and a final summary with total revenue for the hotel._
- _Oversees the completion of the Night Audit checklist. Ensures the Night Audit functions are completed and all reports distributed in a timely manner._
- _Verification and auditing of hotel revenues including credit card and room charges_
- _Liaises with Housekeeping, Maintenance and Security to ensure coordination of room activity._
- _Supervises the overnight staff in addition to assisting other departments with their operations._
- _Ensures information and direction are provided to staff to ensure 100% occupancy with few or no relocations._
- _Communicates information on events or policies to staff._
- _Posts charges to guest room accounts as required._
- _Takes reservations as required._
- _Resolves guest problems and complaints to ensure 100% guest satisfaction._
- _Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service_
- _Follow department policies, procedures and service standards_
- _Help recruit, train and develop all Front Office Associates_
- _Ensure all operations and cash handling are done in compliance with company’s policies, standards and procedures_
- _Create expectations, lead people, manage processes and hold people accountable for the agreed upon activities and time tables_
- _Identify operational challenges and facilitates the development of solutions_
- _Analyze, investigate and resolve all guest complaints_
- _Ensuring that all associates adhere to all hotel policies, standards, procedures and regulations._
- _Conducting daily departmental pre-shifts._
- _Other duties as assigned._

**Qualifications**

2 years minimum front desk experience in a Hotel or related industry.

Post-secondary degree in tourism or hospitality is preferred.

Energetic and outgoing, with a positive attitude, driven to provide an outstanding guest service experience.

Must have the ability to coach and mentor team members to further their development.

Must have excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills and must be able to interact with all levels of associates and guests in a professional and cordial manner.

Excellent organizational, computer, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of Opera is a plus.

Familiarity with Canadian and provincial laws.

Flexible shift availability including evenings, weekends and holidays.
