For over 135 years, St. John Ambulance has been training Ontarians annually in first aid and other applied health and safety courses, including related products, and remains dedicated to saving lives at work, home, and play. St. John Ambulance is an integral part of Ontario communities offering in addition to its training/product offerings, opportunities for independent contractors to teach its first aid and applied health safety courses.

St. John Ambulance also offers innovative volunteer programs such as medical first response, emergency response, car seat education, health and safety related youth programs, therapy dog services and home caregiver education. As a charitable, humanitarian organization, proceeds from St. John Ambulance’s training/product sales directly support these vital volunteer community services programs.

St. John Ambulance Ontario is offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified and ambitious individual to take the role of Volunteer Coordinator for our St. John Ambulance operations in Toronto, Ontario.

**Essential Duties**:

- Provide support to community services programs in the areas of volunteer recruitment, screening, training and recognition
- Provide administrative support to community service programs where required including event management and volunteer records
- Develop and coordinate special events, public relations and the marketing of community services opportunities
- Assist with public and corporate displays to educate and inform about St. John Ambulance volunteer opportunities
- Coordinate support related to client event requests and cost recovery follow up after events
- Provide direction and support to fundraising and community relations initiatives
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and recruitment campaigns designed to increase revenues and membership for our volunteer programs
- In collaboration with all stakeholders, purchase required resources for community services units
- All other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE**:

- Post-secondary education in related discipline (Volunteer Management, Office Administration, Marketing, Public Relations)
- Experience with Microsoft Office (D365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
- Demonstrated strong communication skills both oral and written

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$54,000.00 per year
