**About this role**:

As a co-op student/new grad at BHI, you will have the opportunity to contribute as part of our team, and work alongside and learn from experienced and talented professionals.

Reporting to the Director of Information Services, you will be assigned to various IT operations related tasks through the Technical Support Ticketing system among other relevant responsibilities. This is an on-site position; flexibility to start in December is ideal.

**Core responsibilities**:

- Support the IT team with expediting Technical Support Tickets and technical assignments
- Results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and ownership resulting in timely task completions
- Provide the necessary written documentation per BHI standards
- Desktop support and deployment of new PC’s/Laptops
- Network administration support
- Monitoring and recording of resource utilization (CPU / Disk / Memory utilization)
- Monitoring of backups
- Telephone VoiP support
- Telecommunications support
- Preparation of IT operations-based documentation

**Co-op duration: 4 months full-time
**What we are looking for**:

- New graduate or currently working towards a degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of operating systems, virtual machines, mail filters, network administration, vulnerability and patch management, release upgrade management, VPN communications, telecommunications, cloud and hosting related technology solutions, and desktop technical support would be an asset

**What you will need to be successful:
- Advanced troubleshooting, problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills for timely resolution of Technical Support Tickets and assignments
- Advanced organization and technical skills to support independent management and timely completion of work assignments and priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including reading comprehension, with the ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills; a good work ethic with a positive approach to work and co-workers; energetic and motivated with an excellent attendance record
