**Branson International** is an international freight forwarding company focused on providing top service to manage imports, exports and distribution needs across the globe. Established in 1996, **Branson** remains a close-knit office of around 25 employees, many of whom have been a part of the company for over 15 years. **Branson International** is a proud IATA member with their CIFFA accreditation. With three main offices across Canada located in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver as well as an International Network of agents throughout the world.
They are currently looking for an enthusiastic new _**Accounting Clerk **_to support the Accounting Administrator. This individual will be organized, and detail oriented with experience in accounting, specifically with accounts receivable, accounts payable and spreadsheet maintenance. The position will be responsible for customer service, reconciliations and data entry. Ultimately, the successful _**Accounting Clerk**_ will grow and develop within this welcoming and successful family-owned operation.
**Essential Duties**
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the Accounting Administrator, including A/R, AP and Payroll
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Perform data entry and record-keeping activities
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
- Monitor credit card transactions and reconciliations
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Retrieve, sort and manage mailings
- Provide diplomatic customer service when working with customer inquiries and collections
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, policies and directives governing financial matters
- Manage all banking duties including monthly bank reconciliations
- Provide general administrative support to the Accounting Administrator as required
**Key Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role/industry
- Experience within a logistics organization considered an asset
- Excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and accuracy skills
- Microsoft Excel and Office experience
- Experience with QuickBooks considered an asset
