**Job Description**:
This is a Permanent Part Time.6 Coordinator Position includes days, afternoons and some weekends
**Position Summary**:
Supervises the logistics attendants and dispatch staff to ensure an efficient and timely ordering and distribution of supplies and portering of patients throughout the organization
**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
I. Post-Secondary diploma or degree in Business, Procurement or related field
**Experience**:
I. 3-5 years in a supervisory role, preferably in an unionized environment
II. Relevant health care experience would be considered an asset
III. Experience with warehousing and JIT delivery models in a computerized environment
Competencies:
I. Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills
II. Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment
III. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
IV. Excellent interpersonal, leadership and team-building skills
V. Solid judgement and problem-solving skills
VI. Self-motivated and able to work independently with mínimal supervision
VII. Contributor to a positive team spirit and attitude
VIII. Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external parties
Other:
I. Ensure staff comply with the approved procedures including infection control and risk management.
II. Manage proactively to achieve goals and objectives of the department.
III. Participate in various Committees as required.
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinates and assists with the performance management of staff, including rounding
- Participates in the orientation, training and continuing education of staff.
- Assists with the setting of and delivery of service standards, processes and deployment of resources to meet operational requirements
- Maintains an excellent level of customer service through quick response times to departmental needs
- Develops positive working relationships with stakeholders both internal and external
- Works directly with the staffing office to provide a "24/7” work environment related to scheduling of staff
- Participates on appropriate internal and external committees related to the operational needs of the business
- Bring forth LEAN strategies to ensure continuous improvement.
- ensures adherence of RVH standards and policies, accrediting bodies for the purpose of licensure, regulation and accreditation
