Navitas is seeking to employ an **Academic Success Coordinator** to join our Navitas North American team in Calgary, AB.

The **Academic Success Coordinator **works with the **college team **on the strategic direction, management, and support of academic rigour, student outcomes, and student experience. The position is responsible for academic quality compliance, holistic student support, and strategic enrolment management.

The Academic Success Coordinator assists the **leadership **to efficiently manage operations of the Academic Department in the delivery of the College’s teaching and learning services. This incorporates responsibilities for reporting, student success and academic needs and quality assurance throughout the academic program. A high level of technical skills is required in this role to support the data integrity, reporting and learning technology components.

The position requires the ability to organize and prioritize multiple issues/tasks of varying priorities and strong interpersonal skills including the ability to interact using tact and diplomacy.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the leadership in the management of the Academic Department with all areas of student life, ensuring students have a smooth transition into the College and to the University Partner.
- Implement the strategic enrollment management systems of the college with an emphasis on retention, success, and student experience
- Assist in the coordination of professional development sessions for teaching staff
- Ensure compliance of regulatory requirements in the compilation of data in preparation for reporting, analysis, and presentation
- Foster professional excellence with teachers on all matters relating to student learning needs
- Engage in one-on-one advising of college students
- Support the delivery of holistic student programming that supports the institution in achieving strategic goals, including but not limited to:

- Workshops
- Supporting at-risk students
- Social diversity and inclusivity
- Social engagement
- Community engagement

8. Engage with industry best practices in the field of students at risk

9. Other duties as required

**Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience**
- A degree in a relevant field from a recognized university
- Experience in the supervision and management of staff (instructional staff preferred)
- Experience in a higher education environment working with students and faculty
- Demonstrated ability to develop, promote, implement and evaluate programs that support professional development of instructional staff
- Demonstrated leadership and coordination skills in the capacity to manage all functions of a busy office
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with demonstrated ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters
- Demonstrated written communication skills that enable the appointee to compile, present and disseminate reports and submissions
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple issues/tasks of varying priorities
- Sound knowledge of equal opportunity, equity and workplace health and safety principles and ability to implement them at the strategic and/or operational level
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality assurance
- Legal right to work in Canada
- Hours of work may vary dependent on College needs

**Desirable Skills**
- Experience in a pathway College
- Experience in a multicultural environment or with international students
- Experience with database management systems and learning management systems
- Experience in the supervision and management of instructional staff
