The Compensation Range includes the span between the minimum and maximum base salary. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum base salary and can be considered for an employee with full job knowledge, required qualifications and experience for the position.

**Organizational Status**
We are currently looking forward to welcoming a Part-Time Academic Coordinator. You will be part of our fantastic team and report directly to the Director of Academics. You’ll be part of a team of experienced and passionate people who believe in higher education and work hard behind the scenes to help its students thrive in Canada. You will be responsible for designing and developing inclusive educational content, resources and curriculum.
**Job responsibilities**:
- Coordinate academic operations efficiently, ensuring smooth functioning of all academic-related activities.
- Provide comprehensive support to teachers, offering guidance and resources to enhance their effectiveness in the classroom.
- Maintain detailed records and reports related to academic assessment and grading and help update admissions with students' progress.
- Help with online and in-person ESL Speaking Tests
- including all the operations and communication with students and advisors.
- Do urgent ESL speaking tests as requested by the academic advisors and the sales team.
- Closely monitor the online placement tests and update the profiles with the results - if there is no profile, inform the relevant admissions team about the result.
- Implement and oversee attendance tracking systems for students, ensuring accuracy and timeliness - including all the operations and communication with students, admissions and academic staff.
- Assist the Academic Coordinator in various administrative tasks.
- Act as substitute instructor as needed.
**Supervision Received**
Works independently and in collaboration with the Director of Academics. The performance is evaluated for efficiency, effectiveness, achievement of objectives, and quality of work.
**Supervision Given**
Work closely with the Director of Academics to provide training to new instructors.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in working with eth private educational institution, with a strong background in coordinating Academic activities
- Previous teaching or training experience in hospitality management or a related field preferred.
- Minimum one year of instructional experience or hold a training certificate in adult education
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students, cultivate a positive learning environment, and promote student engagement and success.
- Commitment to student-centered learning, academic excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Comprehensive skills in common workplace software, including online teaching techniques like Zoom and Slack.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary research team.
