**The Role**
As a Contracts Administrator at Versaterm Public Safety, you will play a pivotal role in managing various aspects of our contracts and legal processes. Reporting to the legal team, you will be responsible for assisting with contract administration, insurance certificate requests, and supporting the legal team in various capacities. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Creating and maintaining a comprehensive master list of contracts and agreements, inclusive of renewal dates, termination clauses, and other pertinent information.
- Managing and organizing contract and legal queries.
- Administering wet ink signatures and electronic signatures as well as acting as primary point of contact for all contract execution.
- Work with external company insurance brokers to provide quick turnaround of Certificates of Insurance and supporting the legal team for insurance renewals.
- Drafting written communications to internal and external parties.
- Assisting the legal team in reviewing certain agreements such NDAs and service agreements for Canadian and US customers.
- Updating and maintaining business registrations and licences.
- Supporting legal team with records retention efforts.
- Assisting the legal team with special projects and other company initiatives as needed.
**Skills/Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in business administration, legal studies, or completion of a related post-secondary education program, or a paralegal or law clerk with at least two years of experience, and/or legal administration diploma.
- Law students are welcomed to apply.
- At least two years of experience working in a contracts administration capacity or legal office setting.
- Experience reviewing and/or negotiating standard commercial contracts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain legal terms to cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to meet critical deadlines and establish/maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Great attention to detail.
- Computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, DocuSign, and Salesforce, or an openness to learning new programs.
