**How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team**:
Reporting to the Clerk and Manager, Policy, the Deputy Clerk and Analyst, Policy is responsible for planning, research, development, implementation and maintenance of organizational policies and standard operating procedures as well as providing administrative and secretariat support to the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Toronto and Region Source Protection Authority, Toronto and Region Conservation Foundation (TRCF) Board of Directors and Regional Watershed Alliance, and Partners in Project Green Executive Management Committee advisory boards. This role is key in supporting effective governance operating model of TRCA and TRCF.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Prepare background reports, draft analyses, opinion papers, briefing notes, contentious issues reports, and briefing materials for review and/or use by the Senior Leadership Team and for the Board of Directors of TRCA and TRCF.
- Maintain records and version control of all active and superseded policies.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, as required.
- Attend the meetings as required and record and prepare minutes.
- Assist in managing the lifecycle of agenda reports from conception, through review and to approval.
- Provide advice to Board Members, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), staff and the public of procedural matters.
- Direct Board Members questions and concerns to appropriate TRCA and/or TRCF staff, while keeping SLT involved as appropriate.

**What will you need to succeed**:

- University degree in Business or Public Administration, Information Management, or related field.
- Completed or partially completed Municipal Administration Program from the Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario (AMCTO).
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a public sector Clerk’s Office, including experience providing senior level support.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience developing, analyzing and reviewing corporate policies and operational standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of meeting management software. (i.e. eScribe)
- Experience with corporate policy management practices and standards.
- Experience with Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with high attention to detail.
