**SALARY**: $75,400 - $106,277 per annum

**POSITION LOCATION**: Exchange District Campus (Winnipeg, MB)



**DUTIES**
Red River College Polytechnic is seeking a Research Manager to support and grow industry driven applied research initiatives associated with the Culinary Technology Access Centre (TAC), Prairie Research Kitchen. Reporting to the TAC Director, the incumbent will be responsible for facilitating and supporting applied food research in collaboration with RRC Polytech faculty, staff and students. This is a professional position that combines applied research project management, client management, staff supervision and administrative responsibilities. The Research Manager plays an important role in actively managing the research team, resource allocation, project budgets, project results and reporting to the client.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post secondary degree in Science, preferably in Food or Life Sciences; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Demonstrated experience in food product development in private or public sector
- Demonstrated effective human resource management skills
- Demonstrated experience in research management including research protocol development, data quality, budgeting and reports
- Experience with funding proposal development and management
- Ability to undertake multiple tasks with limited supervision
- Excellent written skills with demonstrated ability to write proposals and reports
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills with client focused business experience
- Demonstrated excellent organizational, analytical, and creative skills
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

**ASSET QUALIFICATIONS**
- Masters degree in Science
- Formal training in Project Management
- Training or experience in Culinary

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
