**Responsibilities**:

- Provide diversion support; work with youth experiencing, or at-risk of, homelessness to secure a safe place to stay working towards permanent housing
- Develop and prioritize family reunification, housing, and community connection plans with youth
- Provide housing supports to youth residing at the Cornerstone and accessing services through Youth Action Centre
- Provide crisis management and supervision to youth accessing the Youth Action Centre within a housing first for youth framework including positive youth development and active youth engagement
- Use motivational interviewing skills and assertive objective-based interactions to guide participants in establishing achievable goal-oriented action plans
- Collaborate within the London Homelessness Prevention Network (LHPN) through a community agency collaborative model
- Strong case documentation, statistical reporting, file management and organizational skills
- Engage in advocacy strategies with community partners and other resources
- Work with youth from diverse cultural backgrounds and various mental health challenges
- Support youth to transition from homelessness to stable housing within the London community
- Contribute to development, outcomes and business goals of Housing First for Youth program

**Qualifications**:

- University Degree or minimum 2-year College Diploma in human /social services from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with a diverse population, including persons from diverse cultural backgrounds, LGBTQ2S groups
- Proven crisis management and case management skills are essential
- Ability to build interpersonal and supportive relationships with youth clients
- Ability to balance supporting youth in need of immediate assistance, while handling multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines
- Experience working with youth affected by poverty, mental health, justice, addictions and homelessness
- Knowledge of Housing First principles and philosophy
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365 as well as other on-line software programs are required
- First Aid /CPR certification, Suicide Prevention, Crisis Intervention and Prevention Training (PMAB or CPI) is an asset
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet program needs including evenings and weekends
- Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check for youth population
- Working knowledge of Webtracker and HIFIS is an asset

**Salary**: $20.55-$26.23 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
