Resettlement Worker

The Cross Cultural Learner Centre is a non-profit organization, located in London, Ontario, that provides settlement services for newcomers to Canada. We are currently looking for a full-time, temporary (until March 31, 2024) **Resettlement Worker **to join our team.

Two different shifts are available:

- Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm; and
- Wednesday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm, and Saturday to Sunday 1:00pm to 9:00pm.

The CCLC is a great place to work and make a difference in our community. The **Resettlement Worker **greets our refugee clients when they first arrive in Canada, helps them get settled in temporary housing, provides basic orientation so our clients better understand Canadian culture, norms and community resources and answers the many questions that come with starting a new life in a new country. This role also helps our clients in their transition to permanent housing. Speaking a newcomer language is a big asset as our clients come from all over the world. We currently need **Swahili, Pashto and Arabic**.

If you have a background in Social Services, a strong understanding of the newcomer experience, a flexible schedule and a good understanding of community resources in London we would love to hear from you. You will also need a driver's license and vehicle as this role visits clients who may be located in housing not accessible by public transit.

As CCLC works with vulnerable clients in our community, you'll need to be able to pass a Vulnerable Persons Police Check to work for our organization.
