Retail Operations, encompassing the three retail business units of Merchandising, Marketing and Store Operations, is responsible for the strategic direction and operations of the 198 BC Liquor Stores. The Retail division develops and executes key strategies to drive business/ revenue, creates systems and processes to maximize operational excellence, while upholding BCLDB’s core values of service, relationships and results. The Merchandise Operations Analyst provides analytical, planning and reporting services to assist Merchandising Director to monitor, evaluate and increase revenue and merchandising performance for all BC retail stores (approximately 200). The Analyst works closely with a variety of internal contacts to accomplish objectives. The Merchandise Operations Analyst collaborates with clients, colleagues and IT professionals to design, fine tune, implement, and trouble shoot projects, initiatives, and process improvement.to enhance the alignment between the business requirements and operational process/systems.

**Position Requirements**:
**Education and Experience**:

- A degree or diploma in business administration, marketing, operations management, category management or a related discipline and a minimum of 3 years of recent, related experience*

OR
- An equivalent combination of recent, related experience*, education and training may be considered, i.e., a minimum of 5 years of recent, related experience* with related formal courses and/or certificates.
- Recent, related experience must have occurred in the last 8 years and must include the following:

- Conducting research and analysis and preparing recommendations related to merchandising programs and initiatives.
- Developing and maintaining program plans, forecasts and reporting tools to evaluate effectiveness using an integrated computerized operational system.
- The alcohol beverage industry.
- Retail/wholesale/distribution business environment.
- Merchandising/marketing/product management.
