**Branch MANAGER**
Construx Building Products is a supplier of structural building products, value-added components, and services to the professional market for new residential, commercial, agricultural construction and repair and remodeling. Our focus is on providing unparalleled service to both large and small customers.
We provide an integrated solution to our customers to help them shorten construction cycle times, reduce construction costs, increase build quality, improve safety, and reduce waste. We manufacture wall panels tailored to the specific needs of our customers. We carry a full line of professional grade building products, such as dimensional lumber and lumber sheet goods and various window, door, millwork lines and custom order floor and truss packages, stairs, custom millwork and trim, and interior and exterior doors. We also offer an extensive range of construction-related services, including design services, product installation, and turn-key framing.
**Summary**
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Design and Sales Associate is accountable for the complete ownership of the operations of the facilities in the specified region. This includes sales, back office operations including shipping/receiving and administrative functions. This is a full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility job for the entire region encompassing your branch. This position is directily supporting the growth of our Edmonton Branch and Alberta-based operations.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Review all pricing for quotes
- Develop and execute weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational updates in conjunction with the Regional Manager
- Role model the company’s vision, values, and culture
- Maximize the effectiveness, efficiency, and profitability of the prefabrication line in the Saskatoon location
- Ensure that all aspects of the prefabrication line are working at optimal performance levels constantly monitoring productivity statistics, quality records, waste statistics etc.
- Ensure high quality Customer Service is reached through feedback and constantly monitoring
- In conjunction with the Regional Manager, Monitor inventory of materials in all Operational Departments, ensuring appropriate stock levels through proper ordering, receiving, pricing and shrink control.
- Take an active role in employee development, motivation, and engagement by mentoring and coaching staff to grow talented people and create a stimulating culture and work environment.
- Work with Regional Manager / Controller / CEO to monitor financial status, prepare budgets etc.
- Oversee orientation and training of new employees and ongoing training of all employees
- Visit job sites of key or target customers
- Participate in Associations as prescribed by Regional Manager
- Participate in Continuous Improvement working as an example.
- Ensure Health and Safety issues and standards are up to company standards on all sites
- Work with Health & Safety Committee to ensure meetings occur on time. Minutes are taken, displayed and sent to appropriate organizations / departments
- Ensure Site / Shop / Trucks have all relevant OH&S related information posted and updated
- Ensure Fire Code related documents are in place and updated up to and including fire drills / muster points etc.
- Ensure maintenance programs are in place for all equipment while observing lock out procedures etc.
- Monitor all costs (Production / Labor / Maintenance / Material / Safety / Consumables
- Ensure good purchasing procedures are in place and upheld. All purchases must have multiple vendor bids working with several branches in order to ensure lower prices and economies of scale.
- Ensure that all personnel understand the company mission and objectives and work towards that common goal.
- Ensure that all personnel have the right tools, information and knowledge in order to work effectively, serve our customers and uphold the company objectives.
- Develop a working understanding of the company's clients through telephone calls, meetings and industry events. Ensure that all reasonable client requests are met diligently.
- Ensure that all branch employees work in a safe environment and that every necessary precaution is taken to uphold that aim. All personnel must understand safe working practices and also know the necessary procedure to take if accidents do occur.
- Ensure that all branch personnel understand the overall company objectives as well as their individual departmental objectives and that they work together to achieve the stated objectives.
- Be available to help resolve conflicting objectives. Reinforce continuously respectful communication between all departments.
- Prepare appropriate annual, monthly and weekly plans and ensure that each person understands how they fits into those plans. Set reasonable goals with deadlines for completion and monitor the compliance with such plans and achievement of such deadlines.
