Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Regional Inventory Planner to join our team at Acheson, AB. This role will play a critical part in overseeing the day-to-day inventory control procedures and ensuring that our parts inventory meets the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor key performance indicators to ensure trends related to total parts inventory value, inventory turns, non-turning inventory, and obsolescence are managed effectively.
- Develop annual objectives for the inventory control function, including proper and acceptable inventory levels, turnover rates, and fill rates.
- Evaluate parts inventory control systems and make decisions regarding inventory planning and replenishment, as well as back-order management.
- Analyze and recommend medium to long-term plans for inventories to support customer fleets.
- Work closely with the Senior Manager, Parts Business Technologies & Strategic Projects to develop policies and procedures for supporting branches.
- Participate in group meetings to address internal and customer concerns.
- Perform and analyze weekly stock orders, reviewing min/max levels, back-order escalation, and forward planning for maintenance.
- Responsible for inventory counts and reconciliation.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business Management, or a relevant field, paired with a minimum of 5 years' experience in parts, warehouse, or inventory management.
- Extensive knowledge of parts distribution and inventory management.
- Experience with reporting and spreadsheets, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Short-term and long-range planning abilities.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Ability to coordinate quality assurance programs and develop recordkeeping systems.
- Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, and proficiency in software related to parts and inventory.
