Supply Chain Manager

The salary for this position is **$120,000 plus applicable bonuses.**
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- **Leadership -** **Develops, mentors, motivates, focuses and retains a competent team capable of achieving the Company’s mission. Builds organizational culture in which performance matters by coaching, setting expectations and communicating. Manages sales administration staff.
- **Purchasing -** Create and manage the process for purchasing new equipment and attachments. Provide feedback to Supply Chain Coordinators regarding equipment purchase orders. Assis Supply Chain Coordinators in working with the corporate logistics department to arrange for equipment pick up from factory and allocation to specific branches.
- **Process -** Create and manage the processes for equipment costing, review the cost worksheets created by Supply Chain Coordinators to ensure accuracy of specifications, attachments and costing match the eXtend system. Create and manage processes for maximizing Marketing programs. Always be looking at areas for a way to improve processes.
- **Administrative -** Review Supply Chain functions to ensure accuracy and completeness of all information included in equipment costing. Review foreign exchange rates in cost sheets to ensure they are adjusted to reflect current market conditions. Administration of the Supply Chain policies and procedures. Monitors compliance with Supply Chain policies and procedures within the department and by sales personnel and reports non-compliance to Director of Finance. Administering equipment and attachment inventory counts (owned and consigned).
- **Liaison with Sales** **personnel throughout SMS Equipment Western Region. Meet with sales personnel to encourage an open dialogue of outstanding issues within Supply Chain to assist in resolving these issues. Assist Sales and Marketing on various projects as assigned.
**Qualifications include**:
At SMS Equipment our Manager, Supply Chain are required to have supervisory experience and administration and maintenance of complex computerized business systems. Typically requires a minimum of 5 to 7 years progressive experience in sales, sales management or administration. Additional qualifications include previous experience in.
- Effectively supervising, both entry level and seasoned staff.
- Working in a demanding environment with strict deadlines and tight schedules is required.
- Ability to work constructively and positively across departments to ensure the needs of the organization are achieved.
- Providing strong customer service skills for dealing with internal and external customers
- Complex business systems in a multi branch environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required to review agreements and to interpret complex data, including financial data.
- Advanced knowledge of computer software i.e. spreadsheets, word, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing reports for management.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
- Equipment Distribution (or a related industry) experience is an asset.
- Ability to speak up when needed.
