**Vice President, Parts & Service**
**Responsibilities**
- Provide sound overall management of the Parts and Service team through effective leadership and prudent financial management.
- Strong financial acumen, analysis and managing of budgets and financials; setting financial goals and developing strategies for growth.
- Leading and promoting a work environment where the Safety and Health of all employees is paramount.
- Oversee and manage the development, documentation, and standardization of processes, procedures and standards to ensure clear direction of our Parts and Service departments.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives and operational best practices to enhance productivity and proficiency.
- Develop, execute and manage a robust supply chain strategy that aligns with Summit’s goals, ensuring optimal inventory efficiencies, cost-effectiveness and flexibility.
- In collaboration with the Parts and Service Managers, develop training programs for Employees for development and growth.
- Hosting weekly meetings of the Parts and Service teams removing roadblocks and resolving issues.
- Lead a dynamic team and promote effective teamwork, fosters communication within all Departments to enable ideas, decision making and collaboration.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Parts and Service Managers across all branches; provide guidance and support on hiring and retention strategies of employees.
- Development and management of a long term company-wide Parts and Service warranty strategy.
- Development and management of a standardized quoting system company-wide.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Business and/or Operations Management.
- Minimum of 10 years of truck or trailer industry experience or equivalent
- Parts Manager or Service Manager experience is an asset
- Managing multi-branch and/or inter-provincial remote experience is an asset
- 8 years direct supervisory experience at a Senior level
- Ability to develop, implement and deliver on overall operational goals and objectives
- Demonstrate critical and strategic thinking skills, including decision making skills.
- Strong leadership and teambuilding skills - mentoring, coaching, training
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills
- Performs confidently with composure under pressure
- Maintains strong working relationships with staff, executive, and customers
- Excellent planning, organizing, prioritizing and time management skills
- Strong computer skills - especially MS Word and Excel
