About the role

Reporting to the Head of Credit Card Operations Canada, this position is responsible to support and assist with ensuring Compliance and Regulatory requirements are adhered to, and liaise with internal stakeholders for the WPB (Wealth and Personal Banking) Credit Card team, and work on cross functional projects and initiatives to improve efficiencies and automation

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversight of monthly Review of vendor invoices for scheme and insurance partners to ensure accuracy, highlight any discrepancies, investigate any variance, seek business approvals, follow up with vendor/internal teams for resolving the variance
- Review monthly, ongoing reports in a timely manner, which include critical exception reports resulting from Compliance remediation
- Assist with process improvement/cost saving opportunities to deliver an improved customer experience, while keeping costs under control, Eg. Consolidation of collateral, Digitalization of collateral
- Participate in comp scan and research industry practices, for various initiatives across the team
- Support monthly vendor relationship activities
- Assist with the Auth User remediation on a monthly basis, to ensure we are compliant with the Governance team
- Create a repository of all different customer communications and system generated letters
- Ongoing assistance to support the business needs/goals
- Maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders
- Foster an environment of teamwork, ensuring collaboration throughout the organization
- Raise critical issues and promote open communication
- Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand
- Adhere to the management of strategy as defined by Group and compliance with Wealth and Personal Banking Global Functional Manual (FIMs), internal and external regulatory requirements
- Complete other responsibilities, and be the back up on various project elements, as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 years of relevant experience in an Operations role preferred
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of the credit card industry and processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communicate across various business lines.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders
- Ability to multitask, prioritize existing workload, adapt and respond quickly to changing demands.
