The role is part of North American Retail Payments Tech Team and reports into a Senior Technology Officer. The Card Vendor Technical Lead will be responsible for ensuring the timely assessment, scheduling and release of code according to BMO and Credit Card Vendors Change Management processes.

The lead will work with the Vendor TSYS, Giesecke & Devrient, Visa, MasterCard, business, Technology managers, developers, solution architects, testing teams, vendors, business teams and delivery teams from various groups within and outside BMO. This position requires a self-starter with strong Leading skills management knowledge and proven experience in leading multiple and complex change management.

**What will you do**:

- Leads the process for all card related changes with vendor, key encryption team, business, etc
- Owner of Card technical documentation with Vendors
- Primary point of reference for Technology teams for all Card Management activities from our Card Vendors
- Understanding of TSYS logic/Options as it is related to all the keys and card related coding/logic
- Leads the engagement of QA and other Testing teams when testing of activities require changes/assessment of impact.
- Lead all aspects of changes, assessments, sign offs reviews with vendor and internal teams to determine which release management activities will have a BMO downstream impact
- Support the process and ensuring that appropriate teams are engaged, assessment complete and change implemented by following current SDLC process as required.
- Leads/participates in software development Process Action Teams and contributes to the continuous improvement of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes for the overall effectiveness of the development process
- Assesses impact of TSYS Releases and Outages to the BMO payment/card echo system\processes/solution/product/service, deliver the impact assessment to teams to perform their assessments.
- Supports production issues, includes independently completing root-cause analysis and diagnosis.

**Qualifications**:

- TSYS/Card Vendor Knowledge and/or experience, especially understanding encryption keys, PIN&CHIP technology and entire process flow behind properly operating the credit card products
- G&D process experience
- Advanced level of knowledge of payment platforms
- Superb communication and leadership skills
- Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in the cards space
- Advanced level of knowledge of credit card Ops and related regulatory and credit card technology
- Strong technical acumen comprised of software development practices, concepts, and technology obtained through formal training and/or work experience.
