HR & Office Assistant

**Responsibilities**:
Red Apple Stores ULC is looking for a **HR & Office Assistant** to join our team.
This role will provide support for Red Apple Stores HR programs and will provide additional administrative support to our Logistics and Store Operations teams. This is a great opportunity to gain entry level experience in a range of HR functions and exposure to other areas of our business at the same time.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Human Resources Responsibilities (60%)**:
- Support our store recruiting process by posting jobs, forwarding resumes, conducting reference and background checks.
- Assist with scheduling and materials for new hire orientations in our office.
- Support our recognition programs such as Anniversary awards, Birthdays etc.
- Provide support for HR events, programs and new initiatives.
- Assist with research for new policies and programs.
- Assist our Payroll team with inquiries, surveys and submissions.
- Run and distribute standard reports using our Dayforce payroll system.
- Help maintain HR records and files and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
**Office Responsibilities will include (40%)**:
- Validating and entering invoices for payment and other data entry tasks.
- Assist with monthly store mailbags and store supplies.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience**:
**SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**:
- Post Secondary Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources, Business or related field.
- Experienced user of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to keep work organized and respond to multiple deadlines and demands on your time.
- Detail oriented with a strong concern for quality work.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills and comprehension.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information.
