**OVERVIEW**

Golf Canada Foundation is looking for a dynamic professional with a background in events eager to make an impact on the future of Canadian golf participation in Canada. This newly created full-time position will assist the Director, Events and First Tee chapter Development Officers to raise funds within chapter events across Canada.

The new coordinator will be flexible, able to work with a small, innovative teams to elevate provincial First Tee events, create efficiencies across chapters where possible, and take advantage of local assets, customs, and donors to contribute to annual chapter fundraising campaigns. This person will have the ability to leverage other Foundation events, prizing from national events like the RBC Canadian Open and CP Women’s Open, and online platforms to maximize fundraising within each chapter.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

First Tee chapter event coordination: 80%
- Work with the Director, Events to engage chapter development officers on planning and execution of local First Tee signature events
- Coordinate logistics, and communication, connect with vendors where required
- Create a toolkit for First Tee third party fundraising events
- Manage First Tee 3rd party event hand off from Chapter Development Officer when community members want to run an event in support of First Tee
- Set up online fundraising pages, auctions, campaigns as required
- Stay abreast of industry trends through competing and complimentary fundraising events within both general fundraising and sport associations within Canada
- Maintain and update event participant and contact records through the Foundation CRM
- Assist Chapter Staff with the planning and execution of Youth On Course events in participating markets.

Foundation event support: 10%
- Under the direction of the Foundation Director, Events, coordinate the partnership with 50/50 technology partners and event draws including the RBC Canadian Open, CP Women’s Open, and partner events where applicable.
- Work with First Tee program staff on event activations where applicable.
- Collaborate with Foundation staff, Golf Canada staff, event consultants and agencies on event execution as required.
- Assist CEO, staff, and board with donor/partner relations where required.

Administration and communication: 10%
- Collaborate with development officers, data management consultant, and Foundation staff on data capture and communication pre
- and post-event.
- Assist with creating and/or facilitating event marketing and communication to program and Foundation staff.
- Additional project management and event coordination as required.

**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

Shall include but not be limited to the following:

- Work within the guidelines as set out by the CEO (e.g. communication policies, reporting, travel etc.);
- Must represent the Foundation to donors, partners, and stakeholders during day-to-day responsibilities;
- Maintain good communication with all Foundation staff, Trustees, board members, Golf Canada staff, provincial associations, and other golf industry stakeholders where required;
- Prepare reports and analysis as directed by the CEO;
- Other duties as assigned.

**REQUIRED SKILLS**
- Minimum one to three years event experience in sport and/or fundraising event space.
- Demonstrated ability to execute event plans on budget and on time to reach goals for long-term organizational benefit;
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders including event participants, donors, volunteers, corporate partners, and sales and sponsorship departments;
- Motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to work independently and has demonstrated the ability to work and lead as part of a team;
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written);
- General awareness of sport philanthropy industry & best practices;
- Golf knowledge and bilingual (English and French) language skills are not required but considered assets.

**ABOUT THE FOUNDATION**

Golf Canada Foundation inspires young players to build strong core values and character while living a healthy lifestyle. Since 2013 we have grown significantly and funded junior golf, women’s golf, high performance golf, sustainability, and heritage projects, while developing a national network of passionate donors and partners.

**HOURS OF WORK**

Golf Canada Foundation’s regular hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, eight hours a day, five days a week including a one-hour lunch. Due to the nature of this position, 10-15% travel will be required along with the need to work events on some evenings and weekends to meet the objectives of your employment. We are currently working in a hybrid work environment with flexibility to work in office and at home.
