**Skills & Expertise**
To complement the existing expertise, diversity and range of experience on the National Board, we are seeking new members with a variety of skill sets, including individuals who possess some of the following:

- Experience developing and implementing a successful strategy, including appropriately probing and challenging management on the delivery of agreed strategic objectives.
- Understand board duties and responsibilities and leading governance principles and practices, gained as a senior executive and/or director of an organization with solid corporate governance practices or with a not-for-profit organization.
- Experience as an executive leading a management and/or functional team for an organization with a track record of success and value creation.
- Experience with fundraising and revenue generation strategies and activities in not-for-profit organizations.
- Experience either as a caregiver of someone or as an individual who has been afflicted with heart disease or stroke.
- Experience as a marketing or communications executive, involved in areas such as national branding strategy and roll out, distribution of content over a wide array of platforms, public relations, and internal communications.
- Experience with implementing strategies for effecting change, controlling change, and helping people to adapt to change when an organization transitions or transforms its goals, processes, or systems.
- Experience as a human resources executive involved in overseeing complex organizational structures and talent and compensation strategies.
- Can represent the voice of those who understand the challenges of living in a rural area.

- Nous militons auprès des gouvernements pour qu’ils investissent dans des programmes, des campagnes de sensibilisation et des politiques publiques afin de créer un environnement facilitant les choix sains.

**Compétences et expertise**
Pour bonifier l’expertise, la diversité et la gamme d’expériences au sein du conseil d’administration national, nous sommes à la recherche de nouveaux membres possédant une variété de compétences, notamment des personnes qui:

- possèdent de l’expérience en matière d’élaboration et de mise en œuvre de stratégies efficaces et qui ont la capacité de remettre en question les propositions des membres de la direction en lien avec l’atteinte des objectifs stratégiques convenus;
- ont acquis, à titre de cadre supérieur ou de directeur d’une organisation ayant de solides pratiques de gouvernance ou d’un organisme à but non lucratif, une bonne compréhension des tâches et des responsabilités des membres d’un conseil d’administration, ainsi que des principes et pratiques de gouvernance les plus importants;
- possèdent de l’expérience à titre de cadre supérieur à la tête d’une équipe de direction ou fonctionnelle au sein d’une organisation ayant démontré son efficacité et créé de la valeur;
