Administrative Assistant

Reporting to the Senior Director of the Palliative Institute, duties include booking and providing support for meetings and events, maintaining social media accounts and websites, liaising with legal to coordinate contracts, managing financial accounts, process invoices, coordination of recruitment activities, orientation, tracking performance appraisals and vacation requests, processes payroll, is a member of the Joint Workplace Health Safety and Wellness Committee, liaising with internal and external parties, serving as a special project resource, is responsible to manage the annual Palliative Education and Research Day planning activities, and performing other related duties with competence and professionalism, and demonstrating the mission, vision and values of Covenant Health. This position is non-unionized.

**Required Qualifications**:
Administrative Assistant Certificate or equivalent. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior administrative or office management position or equivalent. Highly proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft Teams. Highly developed writing skills. Operational systems i.e. RMS ,e-People, Markview, eManager.
**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Thorough knowledge of Covenant Health, Alberta Health Services, Alberta academic intuitions and Government of Alberta. Professional, highly effective interpersonal & communication skills. Initiative and self-motivation. Discretion and confidentiality. Ability to work independently. Clear business and academic writing skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Association of Administrative Professionals (AAP) designation preferred.
