**Working for the Department of Computing Science**

**Position**

The Research Assistant will undertake and complete research projects aimed at addressing scientific inquiries. This entails a range of tasks including conducting literature reviews, designing experiments, executing them, analyzing data, communicating with supervisors,and writing papers.

**Duties**
- Write and test code for correctness; Conduct experiments based on written code.
- Extensively review relevant literature to inform future research directions; Import existing techniques to enhance current work.
- Analyze results from experiments and determine future steps based on thorough analysis.
- Prepare and deliver progress presentations in regular meetings.
- Author research papers based on completed work.

**Qualifications**
- BSc Degree in Computing Science or related field.
- Formal training (ie. degree program or related experience) in Machine learning and basic probability/statistics.
- Proficient in coding and testing methodologies.
- A minimum of 2 years of training/education is required.
- MSc Degree in Computing Science or related field is an asset.
