**Your Opportunity**:
As Peer Navigator, within the e-Mental Health for youth and young adults’ team, you are part of an inter-professional team responsible for the planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating of the e-Mental Health project within the Provincial Addictions and Mental Health portfolio. You will play a key role in ensuring quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS with a key role in helping and supporting young people in accessing mental health care. You will support young people at a variety of access points including AHS sites, Primary Care Networks, schools and other community partners offering mental health service supports. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with the project implementation team to maintain reports as required and identify opportunities to improve service delivery related to client experience, system engagement, partnerships and technological improvements. The Peer Navigator demonstrates autonomy and accountability when working closely with the project implementation team and directly with youth mental health service providers and young people with lived experience. The role of a peer navigator is to guide and educate young people about the use of the digital mental health interventions and facilitate the general use of digital technologies in a young person’s mental health care. This includes working directly on digital health platforms, preparing relevant educational materials, working with clinicians, academics, and youth mental health service providers and contributing to the efficient operation of the research work.

**Required Qualifications**:
Hold an understanding of digital health in a mental health setting. A champion for youth in their community and commitment to youth friendliness. Technological navigation skills. Ability to provide knowledge from your own experience and speak from a broader youth perspective. Knowledge of or lived experience in the broader topic area of mental health and substance misuse. Ability to connect with a diverse group of youth and foster an environment of inclusion. A desire to advocate for change. A passion for working in this topic area. Critical thinking skills. Comfortable speaking in a team environment on project work updates. Strong existing connections or capacity to build community connections. Potential for leadership skills development. Curiosity and interest in learning about research. Interest in various stages of the research process, from co-development of research questions, data analysis, and sharing knowledge with communities.
