**Position Summary**

The Macauley Lab is seeking a temporary part-time or full-time research assistant/lab technician to provide support and assistance for ongoing projects. Our lab investigates the roles of carbohydrate and carbohydrate receptors in antibody responses during vaccination and/or infection. The successful applicant is expected to assist graduate students and perform established laboratory procedures, such as mouse genotyping, flow cytometry, and in vitro/in vivo work.

**Duties**
- Performs established biology techniques including primary cell culture, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), DNA/RNA isolation, cloning, and electrophoresis.
- Assists in _in vivo_ related work such as preparation and administration of immunogens, blood sample collection, mouse genotyping, and lymph node and spleen cell phenotyping (flow cytometry).
- Performs routine lab (cleaning, reagent preparation) and equipment (cytometer performance check and compensation) maintenance.
- Maintains detailed records of experiments.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- BSc in immunology, biology, biochemistry, or related life science discipline. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Attention to detail is required.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with animal work (mouse) is an asset.
