**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
RioCan owns, manages and develops retail-focused, increasingly mixed-use properties located in prime, high-density, transit-oriented areas where Canadians want to shop, live and work. We launched our ESG strategy in 2016 with the goal to be among the leaders in integrating ESG practices across the business. RioCan has made significant progress towards this goal and is looking for a Coordinator to help support our efforts to continuously improve.

This position is responsible for coordinating RioCan’s sustainability and environmental initiatives and assisting with reporting and maintenance of our environmental and sustainability data.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Environment
- Maintain Environmental Management System through report review, upload and record creation on Data Management System.
- Work with operations to ensure in-house annual audits are completed and materials out of compliance are removed.
- Provide project management support on the contaminated sites, assisting with report review, remediation management and environmental claims and insurance.
- Process project specific invoices on a monthly basis, including opening and closing Project Opportunity Numbers and aiding in sending out request for proposals.
- Assist with organizing and filing completed environmental reports, uploading to Data Management System.
- Assist with following up on consultants to ensure deliverables are on schedule.

Sustainability
- Assist with sustainability, GRESB and EWRB reporting activities (e.g., data collection, verification of report metrics, back-up materials, etc.).
- Assist with sustainability initiatives such as Sustainability Guidelines for Operations, performing research and analysis on evaluating various technologies, etc.
- Assist with maintenance of utility data management system.
- Other ad hoc projects as required, including project management tasks related to RioCan’s Sustainability program.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- University or College degree/diploma in Business or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years’ experience as a coordinator.
- Experience in Environmental and Sustainability in Real Estate/Construction is considered an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Proven project management, creative problem solving and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment and possess a high level of oral and written communication skills.
