Court Information Clerk

Overview:
As the Court Information Clerk, you will perform moderately complex clerical work and are responsible for the administrative functions necessary to support the Court Unit. The work is done in accordance with established Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) policies, business rules, and applicable legislation.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepares and produces court certificates and packages for law enforcement, government agencies and the courts regarding driver records to be used for court and vehicle impoundment hearings.
- Reviews driver records to ensure all information will be correctly displayed on driver abstract and driver record form.
- Ensures dispositions for all Criminal Code offences are recorded on driver abstract.
- Determines the appropriate suspension and the appropriate police letter to be used.
- Prepares and codes administrative suspensions received from Law Enforcement.
- Determines if all the correct information and documents have been received and contacts law enforcement for verification and corrections, as required.
- Reviews driver records to ensure all information will be correctly displayed on driver abstract and driver record form.
- Answers incoming phone enquiries from, and provides information regarding corporate procedures and confidential driver files to, law enforcement, government agencies and the courts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of office experience, including one year in a driver records environment.
