Job Description
  • Process admission and discharges, ensuring accurate and timely updates to patient records.
  • Filing and retrieving health records for various areas of the facility, adhering to strict confidentiality guidelines.
  • Maintain organized filing systems, including placing charts into folders and culling records for off-site storage.
  • Provide reception services to MHC staff, physicians, and the public, showcasing exceptional communication skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of one year's recent experience in an office setting, preferably in Health Information Services, with knowledge of current health information systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in medical terminology, typing speed of 60 wpm, and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with Centre personnel and medical staff, maintaining confidentiality in accordance with the Personal Health Information Act.
