- *Cultural Events and Programs:* Initiating, organizing, and implementing cultural events and programs while working with an inhouse team to execute an exceptional cultural event.
- *Cultural Liaison:* Working collaboratively with the Consolate of Italy Vancouver, Member Societies, il Centro Membership, Board of Directors Cultural Committee and Membership Committee as it pertains to membership status.
- *Grant Writing:* The ability to initiate and write grants is required.
- *Content Calendar:* Create and maintain communication vehicles to promote cultural events and programs.
- *Monitor Events and Programs:* Ability to analyze KPIs to evaluate success of events and programs against a multifaceted set of goals and objectives. Prepare budgets for each event/program and report success or improvement required.
- *Creativity: *Introduce innovation in our cultural events and programs to appeal to various demographics of attendees including multigenerational activities
- *Content Creation:* Ability to create content for social media platforms is a requirement of this job.
- *Sponsorship: *Work with a cross divisional team to foster sponsorship or strategic partnerships that will support cultural initiatives.
- *Other: *Develop initiatives requested by the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors. *Social Services Duties* - *Target Market: *Identify target areas of support for members or prospective members of il Centro - this may include our senior community and also the new immigrant community that is coming from Italy. - *Broader Community: *Determine how il Centro may be of support to the broader community in proximity to il Centro while living our Italian values. *Qualifications:* - Knowledge of Italian History and culture current and past. - Experience in Content Creation for Social Media platforms. - Strong verbal, writing and editing skills with impeccable grammar and attention to detail in English and Italian. - Proficiency in content creation tools and platforms. (Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Youtube, X, Mailchimp, Eventbrite, etc) - Creative thinking and the ability to develop content that engages and captivates the audience. - Exceptional interpersonal skills, organizational capability and comfortable in a multi task environment while working within a small high performing team - Microsoft Office suite capable - Results oriented individual who takes pride and ownership of their initiatives through to completion. - Basic graphic design video editing skills (knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus). - Experience in event planning an asset. - Ability to problem solve, and collaborate with other team members to execute events, content creation and marketing campaigns. - Basic web capabilities is a strong asset. - Corporate network drive management - Excellent time management and organizational skills. - Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and maintain partnerships. - Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree or accreditation from a sanctioned post secondary institution in a relevant or related field. *In addition, the following qualifications and experience are considered assets:* - Ability to read, write and speak Italian is mandatory - Knowledge of basic web capabilities - Experience in event planning - Knowledge of content creation for social media platforms We would like to thank all applicants for their interest but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
