Overview
The Accounts Payable Representative is an integral member of the Finance Team. If you have a background in payables, strong communication skills, impeccable time management skills, great attention to detail and are looking for a collaborative organization where you can grow your career then we would love to hear from you

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Printing and Matching vendor invoices with Packing Slips
- Entering invoices using correct G/L’s & handling pricing issues & other billing issues.
- Following up with vendors for credits
- Processing vendor returns
- Entering Vendor Credits
- Printing cheques in accordance to discount terms
- Process EFT payments in accordance to discount terms
- Evaluating vendor statements and reconciling outstanding invoices/issues
- Maintain and support workflow by studying methods; implementing cost reductions; and developing reporting procedures
- Embrace personal learning and developing your own knowledge and skills
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted

**Secondary/Less Frequent Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the Admin team when needed (reception coverage)

Mandatory Requirements
- Years of Experience: 1 - 3 years of A/P experience and knowledge
- Software/System Experience: Bank Portals, Outlook
- Proficient with data entry and 3 way matching
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven fast paced environment;
- Desire to continually be educated in the requirements of the position;
- Demonstrated analytical, organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent Written and oral communication skills;
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

Nice to Have
- Relevant coursework in Accounting
- Experience with AS400
- Experience with Excel
