The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (the “College”) was established under the Traditional Chinese Medicine Act, 2006 and the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 to regulate the practice of traditional Chinese medicine in the public interest. It has a duty to ensure that the public has access to safe, effective and ethical care in their dealings with members of the College.
We are seeking a Quality Practice Coordinator responsible for coordinating the activities and providing program support for the Quality Assurance Committee and Patient Relations Committee. This is a full-time permanent position, currently offering a hybrid work
environment with staff working from home and from our office at 55 Commerce Valley Drive West in Thornhill.
**About the Role**
**Key Responsibilities**
- Act as the primary point of contact for members and the public requesting information regarding the Quality Assurance and Patient Relations programs, continuing education opportunities, and resources.
- Provide assistance and coordinate the provision of Practice Advice within the scope and practice of the profession.
- Respond to member requests for information and assistance in program participation and availability of on-line and webinar educational resources.
- Maintain records for all members throughout their quality assurance activities, including record reviews and Peer and Practice Assessments, assign Peer and Practice Assessors to files ensuring no conflict of interest, prepare notification packages for members, track assessment timelines, and compile related forms and documentation.
- Brief Assessors for Peer and Practice assignments and ensure electronic transfer of file details and requirements.
- Create templates, standard forms and communication materials, update policies and procedures, and maintain professional development guidelines, assessment guides and tools.
- Apprise the Manager on the status of member program participation and their compliance with the program requirements.
- Maintain program statistics and prepare reports and analysis as required by the College leadership, Council and Committees, and the Ministry.
- Assist with the research and development of Quality Assurance and Patient Relations policies, procedures and program enhancements on direction of the Manager, and independently.
- Maintain all case files referred to the Quality Assurance Committee; assist with the development of template draft decisions, reasons, and undertakings, referring more complex casefiles to the Manager.
- Update Committee operations manuals and resource materials in keeping with the College’s policy and best practices.
- Apprise the Committee of mandated peer assessments, and prepare and debrief the Committee regarding the assessment reports.
- Apprises the Manager regarding case file management, Committee activities, and escalated issues resolution.
**Skills and Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in health care, administration, communication, business, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Two or more years’ experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Regulatory and/or health care experience is considered a definite asset.
- Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information with tact and diplomacy.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with members, Council and committee members, the public and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and coordinate multiple activities and/or projects.
- Ability to work independently and to develop effective working relationships as a team player.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, database programs, case management tools and virtual communication platforms.
**Compensation**

Hiring Range ($50,000 to$55,000)
