**Accounting Administrator - Contract Position - Maternity Leave coverage**

**Role Summary**

Full-time / Contract / Hybrid

PortfolioAid is looking for a proactive professional who’s primary responsibilities will include bookkeeping and payroll administration. This position is critical to ensuring accurate and timely payroll management and maintaining organized financial records.

This role reports to the CEO.

**Responsibilities**
- Engage in employee onboarding and off boarding for employees as it relates to payroll (Ceridian Powerpay).
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Maintain payroll records, including employee information, salaries, wages, deductions, and taxes.
- Prepare payroll reports for senior management as needed.
- Answer general payroll inquiries from all employees.
- Process new hires, terminations, status changes, pay rate changes and other employee data.
- Track and log employee access and equipment/tools (Entitlements).
- Manage Entitlements for quarterly audit
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online software.
- Bookkeeping of financial business transactions in QB Online.
- Manage monthly client Invoices.
- Complete month-end, Quarterly HST and year-end closing processes.
- Review and approve supply requisitions and expense management.
- Manage PTO system (Ceridian Powerpay People) including year-end processes.
- Answer PTO inquiries from all employees.
- Execute other duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**
- Bookkeeping experience 3-5 yrs.
- Payroll administration experience 3-5 yrs.
- QuickBooks experience.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal users and external parties.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions using sound judgement.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities with attention to detail.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9-12 months

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Payroll (Ceridian): 3 years (required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON
