Mining Plus has an opportunity for a full time Accounts Administrator to join our team in Toronto to help the Business Support Team.

About the Role:

  • Prepare, process and issue billing to internal and external accounts timely and accurately.
  • Assist with period-end reporting and accounts processes including reimbursements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies or customer inquiries.
  • Facilitate payment of client invoices due by sending reminders and contacting clients and ensure the Debtor Report is maintained as current.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and supplier invoices.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of supplier/subcontractor invoices and ensure relevant ones are billed to clients.
  • Verify supplier accounts by reconciling statements and related transactions.
  • Review monthly transactions to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Maintain accounts related files and records.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Effectively and professionally greet and communicate with all visitors and employees to the office.
  • General administrative assistance to the office; including but not limited to data entry, filing, photocopying, scanning.
  • Maintaining office inventory equipment and ordering further supplies or service as needed.
  • Coordinating venue, equipment and catering for events.
  • Oversee access card management and be primary contact to the building management.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding.
  • Assist with IT coordination .
  • Other administrative duties as necessary.

About you:

  • Degree in accounting, business, or similar relevant field or 4+ years accounts related roles
  • Proficiency with computers and accounting software
  • Good organization and time management
  • Good communication skills
  • Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and debt collection regulations
  • Intermediary knowledge of Excel
  • Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately
  • Experienced working in a professional services firm an asset
  • Canadian taxation knowledge a asset
