**About the Position**:Closer to Home is looking for an ambitious human resources student or new grad to join our Human Resources team. You will learn from experienced HR professionals and aid general HR duties as well as in recruitment of talent in our not for profit agency. Under the guidance of the Senior HR Manager and HR Specialists, the HR Intern will gain valuable practical experience with:

- Using various HRIS and Payroll systems including BambooHR and Ceridian DayForce
- Collaborating with multiple teams to ensure smooth onboarding experience for new employees
- Ensuring compliance documents are tracked and up-to-date
- Collecting and digitally filing confidential information
- Supporting education of staff on policies, procedures, systems and best practices, so they are
followed consistently throughout the organization
- Contributing to general HR administrative duties, participating in meetings with other teams and
departments

**About You**:You are a student who is interested in gaining experience with processes and deliverables related to HR. You are skilled in building relationships, and comfortable collaborating across multiple teams. You are excited about learning and using a variety of digital systems including Microsoft, Google Suite, BambooHR and Ceridian Dayforce.

**Qualifications**:

- You are in a post-secondary Human Resources or a related administration program, or are a
recent graduate
- You have completed some training in Human Resources, specifically around recruitment
- General knowledge of HRIS and Google Suite are considered and asset, but training will be
provided
- You are tech-savvy and enjoy using various systems to increase efficiency
- Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written communication
- Ability to build rapport and foster positive professional relationships Strong ability to coordinate schedules across multiple teams
