What you will be doing

You will be part of a dynamic team in one of Canada's largest Asset Management firms within the Canadian wealth industry. We are looking for energetic, sales savvy and client service-oriented individuals to join our team. In your role as a Business Development Manager, you'll work with National Asset Specialist Team to increase market share of CIBC Asset Management (CAM) with existing clients while incrementally developing new business relationships. Your sales activity will be both virtual and in person where appropriate as determined by events and activities within the territory.

Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview. Occasional travel within the assigned territory and to regional or national meetings required._

How you will succeed- Business development - Prospect for new business with Advisors in your territory through contacts and regular follow-ups.- Product knowledge - Ensure full knowledge of CIBC Asset Management (CAM) current product and market trends including product/portfolio features, benefits, and investment strategies. Periodically deliver product information and business development tools with Advisors- Relationship building - Strengthen existing business relationships to consistently meet sales target- Collaboration - Work with entire Asset Specialist Team to deliver activity at all levels - at the advisor, segmentation, territory, calendar and events level.- Solution provider - To advisors by asking great questions to uncover a need and then present a compelling product solution. Deliver solution information, Portfolio Manager insights, Point of Sales Tools.

Who you are- You can demonstrate experience in. You have experience in sales within the mutual fund/wealth management industry (an asset). You are knowledgeable and have an interest of current trends in the broker/dealer industry, bond and capital markets- You are passionate about people. You find meaning in relationships, and surround yourself with a diverse network of partners. You build trust through respect and authenticity.- You are a certified professional. You have current/past accreditation and good standing with Mutual Funds (MF) and/or Canadian Securities Course (CSC).- You have a degree in. You have a degree in Finance/Business/Economics or a related field.- You're fluent in English. It’s an asset if you’re fluent in French.- Values matter to you.
