We offer tailor-made solutions for French companies looking to expand globally and enable North American companies to discover the many reasons to choose France when planning their global expansion. Business France also runs the V.I.E program, an HR solution designed to source young talents from Europe. In line with French public policy on carbon neutrality and climate change, Business France is prioritizing the green transition by placing it at the heart of its strategy. We have already started to implement extensive policies internally to curb our environmental impact and we help our clients to take this important element into consideration in their business development.

In North America, Business France has offices in strategic locations, next to the most vibrant markets. Our network of over 100 employees operates from 5 central offices (New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, Montréal) and 4 outposts (Los Angeles, Boston, Detroit, Houston). Working closely together, we organise promotional events, business accelerators, French pavilions on international tradeshows, or we directly work with entrepreneurs in the most promising markets. Your missions

- Advise French companies on their sales and marketing strategies in the US/Canada and help them develop a North American business culture.

- Research opportunities in North American market segments according to the needs of French companies.

- Identify and prospect North American potential clients / business partners for French exporters.

- Organize, prepare, and participate in business meetings: direct interaction with strategic decision-makers and senior executives.

- Participate in the organization of trade missions for French companies to the USA/Canada at trade shows and business conventions.

- Recruit French companies to participate in programs organized by Business France, and identify companies with export potential, to offer personalized support in North America.

- Identify opportunities and trends in the US/Canadian market for French companies in the environment and Cleantech sectors.

- Participate in networking events, conferences and trade shows centered on environment and Cleantech sectors, to present French export solutions in these fiels.

- Develop a solid network of North American professionals and decision-makers in the environment and Cleantech sectors.

- Manage and animate a portfolio of these local contacts.

Qualifications

- Dual English/French fluency required (written and spoken).

- BA/BS preferably with relevant majors: business and/or marketing.

- Proficiency with all MS Office applications.

- Strong sales skills (phone prospection, 1-on-1 meetings, data management), results-oriented mindset.

- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities.

- Strategic analysis skills.

- Self-starter, dynamic, comfortable working in a team.

- Excellent communication skills: spoken, written.

- Ability to expand & manage a network of contacts through attending networking events and conferences.

- Problem solving skills.

- Proactive approach.
