**Human Resources Advisor - 12 month contract**

**About this opportunity**

As a Human Resources Advisor with CBI Health, you will provide coaching and support to managers, and team leaders related to employee relations, labour relations, performance management and CBI Health HR policies & procedures.

**Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day**
- Support the labour relations function where relevant and ensure labour management relations are exercised within the business unit which are appropriate for both bargaining unit and management professional staff
- Handle routine labour relations and human resource inquiries related to policies, procedures, and bargaining agreements; refers complex matters to appropriate management staff.
- Assists with preparation of documents and records required for contract negotiations, meetings, and negotiations with employee and labour organizations.
- Support the implementation and administration of the Performance and Professional Development program
- Coordinate and/or facilitate training initiatives as required
- Advise regional leaders and support engagement initiatives and communications
- Support new hire orientation and onboarding programs
- Participate in workforce planning based on market changes and operational needs
- Actively participate in and support talent acquisition related activities and internal CBI Health job posting practices
- Support and administer health and safety initiatives and employee disability claims in partnership with the HR and disability management teams and business leaders (WSIB, modified work, leaves of absence)
- Monitor compliance with all elements of Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures and assist in implementing health and safety initiatives
- Assist in preparing and analyzing HR metrics
- Support and guide regional leadership in all areas of employment legislative requirements and escalate to the HR Manager as appropriate

**What you will need to be successful**
- Post-secondary or post-graduate education in human resources
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a human resources generalist capacity, preferably within a unionized environment
- Working toward or possess a human resources designation
- Experience with labour relations/supporting a unionized environment
- Resourceful, self-directed and detail-oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation
- Demonstrated time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple projects and resources
