**Managing Human Resources Functions**:

- Serve as a primary resource for interpreting human resources policies and legislation within the organization.
- Provide guidance and clarification to employees and management on policy-related matters.
- Oversee the revision of current policies, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance and relevance.
- Conduct periodic reviews to identify areas for improvement and compliance enhancement.
- Maintain the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure its operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure documentation in human resources files is complete, accurate, and meets accreditation and legislative standards.
- Work closely with the Payroll Officer on employee functions such as extended leave of absences to ensure accurate processing and compliance.
- Offer guidance on navigating HR-related matters and resolving employee inquiries.
- Assist the Program Director in preparing reports related to human resources activities, including policy updates, compliance status, and workforce analytics.
- Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and support organizational decision-making.

**Recruitment**:

- Assist in preparing and distributing position advertisements, developing qualification statements, and crafting comprehensive job descriptions.
- Manage and actively participate in the full cycle of recruitment, selection, and orientation of staff.
- Participate in selection committees as needed, providing guidance on selection guidelines and assessment methods.
- Serve as a support on the orientation process for new staff, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Implement new recruitment tools and strategies as required to enhance the recruitment process.
- Manage and complete written employment agreements as required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

**Volunteer Program Management Activities**:

- Supervise and support the Communications and Fundraising Coordinator.
- Manage and support the volunteer program, collaborating with the Communications and Fundraising Coordinator for recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Develop strategies to effectively manage volunteer resources, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Ensure that volunteers are equipped with the necessary resources and information to carry out their roles effectively.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify volunteer needs and opportunities within the organization.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of volunteers into existing programs and initiatives.

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Serve as a resource and advisor for both management and the senior leadership team on matters related to employee/labour relations and performance management.
- Mitigate risks and ensure employer compliance with legislative requirements, providing guidance on relevant policies and procedures.
- Manage and facilitate staff recognition efforts to promote a positive and inclusive work culture.
- Manage, maintain, and report on French Language Services (FLS) for the Centre to ensure compliance with language requirements.
- Provide guidance and support for accommodation requests, serving as a point of contact for employees and management.
- Coordinate ergonomic assessments for employees and facilitate necessary accommodations to promote workplace health and safety.
- Lead the Employee Engagement Committee, overseeing work plans and initiatives to foster a culture of engagement and satisfaction.
