Marcan is seeking a HR Advisor role to provide additional structure and expertise to their Canadian operations.

Reporting directly to the President (located in Ottawa), you will have a dotted line to the Head of HR who is based in India along with the rest of the team. You will be responsible for all HR matters for the company in Canada. As a trusted business advisor to the management team, you will provide guidance on strategic initiatives and will identify and minimize legal risks for the company.

We have group RRSP, Health & Dental Benefits, vacation pay (3 weeks). Work schedule is 4 days in office, one day remote.

Parking is free at office building, coffee and fruits are available in the office at no cost. Our work schedules are 8:30am to 4:30pm with some flexibility.
- **Main duties and responsibilities **_
- Maintain human resources information within the Darwinbox HRIS;
- Elaborate and calculate KPI’s;
- Produce and maintain accurate reports, records and files;
- Develop and implement corporate policies and procedures, in accordance with all relevant legislation;
- Stay up to date with latest HR trends and legislation to remain compliant and bring new programs, processes and policies;
- Ensure compliance with Provincial applicable legislation;
- Respond to government requests;
- Enroll and administer benefits plans (group insurance and group RSP);
- Participate in payroll administration;
- Manage employee recruitment and orientation;
- Assist in the management of the whole employee life cycle, from onboarding to off boarding processes, according to policies and legislation;
- Be the point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries;
- Track employee training and development;
- Participate in professional development opportunities;
- Support employee programs as well as social, recreational, and special events;
- Recommend salary adjustments;
- Conduct exit surveys;
- Prepare communications and letters regarding employee movements and changes;
- Complete other departmental duties as required.
- **Requirements **_
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration;
- 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role;
- Proficient user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with a HRIS;
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) Designation;
- Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Excellent time management and organizational skills;
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and changing environment;
- Bilingualism (English/French) will be considered as an asset.
