**JOB OBJECTIVE**

As a key member of the CCS team, the Strategic Partnerships representative is responsible for all aspects of association and project revenue generation and revenue growth strategy.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Liaise with the MCI Business Intelligence Unit and conduct own market research to maximize understanding of the association / project main industry
- Develop database, revenue growth strategy and sales collateral
- Develop opportunities designed to increase community engagement
- Design bespoke opportunities for key partner organizations
- Actively solicit, sell, negotiate and bring to contract a variety of campaigns such as sponsorships, exhibits, affiliate programs, digital marketing and advertising.
- Create customized proposals designed to meet the objectives of a specific partner.
- Identify alternative revenue sources such government institutes, non-governmental organizations, and foundations.
- Identify eligibility for grants - write and prepare all documents for grant submission. Reconciliation of grants, as required.
- Forecast revenue performance across assigned projects, providing regular reports as required
- Create, maintain, and grow partner relationships through face-to-face meetings, conference calls, in-person meetings and conference attendance for the purpose of lead cultivation and relationship management.
- Work collaboratively with the operations and leadership teams to exceed association and project revenue goals and overall profitability.
- Support the selection and build of a sponsor/exhibitor technology systems, as required
- Liaise with the Digital team to design and launch webpages, registration sites, social media campaigns and sponsorship & exhibitor activations
- Support the development of the sponsor/exhibitor post event survey, sponsor/exhibitor report and/or client final report
- Coordinate the implementation of all sponsor and exhibitor agreements with the operations team
- Manage contracts, invoices and payments
- Reconciliation of sponsorship, exhibit, and advertising funds.

**DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATIONSHIPS**
- Reports to Director, Consulting & Community Solutions
- Works in collaboration with project team and MCI Canada leadership

- Provides a high-level of customer service to industry partners, as a first point of contact

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Sales and/or Industry Experience - Minimum 5-year experience in Hospitality/Event Management and/or Strategic Partnerships, Sponsorship or Advertising sales
- Education - Degree or Diploma in Hospitality/Event Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- General knowledge and understanding of medical education and pharmaceutical advertising compliance in Canada such as:

- The National Standard for Support for Accredited Continuing Professional Development Activities (RCPSC, CFPC)
- Innovative Medicines Canada - Code of Ethical Practices
- Pharmaceutical Advertising Advisory Board (PAAB)
- Ability to handle conflicting priorities on projects with different timelines and needs. You will work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented team environment.
- Experienced with developing new revenue generating opportunities in an association and event-based setting - You must establish strong relationships with both clients and prospective partner organizations to ensure revenue goals are achieved and return on investment is delivered. Strong collaboration and listening skills with clients, partners, and internal team members/leadership are important.
