**About Life After Burns**

We are Life After Burns, a burn survivor community that offers a safe and educational space for burn survivors and their loved ones across Canada.

Life After Burns was founded by Victoria Vass, who suffered 3rd degree burns at the age of 9 years old. While discovering and going through the interpersonal growth that such a rough experience brings, she has made it her mission to educate and build a community with the hopes of helping others on their own journey.

**Position Summary**

The Human Resources Volunteer is our “people connector” that will ensure that we match the right volunteer to the right opportunity at Life After Burns. You are a fun, energetic and out of the box thinker with an innate ability to connect and foster collaborative relationships. You will roll up your sleeves to gain full exposure to the recruitment and selection process within a non-profit organization. You will primarily be responsible for the operational aspects of the recruitment and selection process, interviewing, coordination of volunteer records and coordinating targeted recruitment initiatives. The HR team is also looking to create volunteer recognition, orientation, time tracking and volunteer satisfaction programs, and the position will be involved in those exciting people initiatives.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Lead the process for coordinating interviews, sending calendar invites, creation of interview templates and taking interview notes, etc.
- Assume a lead role in partnering with colleges and universities to manage all logístical aspects of posting volunteer opportunities for placement opportunities.
- Processing Welcome Letters and assisting with volunteer orientations.
- Executes day-to-day administrative duties including organizing inbox and google drive, retrieving and maintaining volunteer records.
- Key support in managing HR policies and procedures.
- Track and report on effectiveness of various recruitment strategies.
- Research HR policies and programs.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Non-profit Management, or equivalent field of study;
- Exceptional proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Suite;
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines, completing projects on time with professionalism;
- Ability to perform to a high level independently as well as with a team;
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality;
- Flexibly work well in a slow-paced or fast-paced time sensitive environment;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
