**Position Purpose**:
As a Learning and Development Specialist, your role encompasses designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive learning programs aimed at enhancing the knowledge, skills, and abilities of employees within the organization. Your primary objective is to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, aligning development initiatives with strategic business objectives. By identifying training and development needs, creating engaging content, and deploying effective learning methodologies, you will contribute to the overall talent development strategy, driving performance improvement, employee engagement, and organizational success. Your passion for learning, coupled with your expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles, will empower individuals at all levels to unlock their full potential, thereby shaping a dynamic and thriving workforce.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assess training needs: Identify skill gaps and learning requirements through analysis and consultation with internal stakeholders.
- Design training programs: Develop engaging and effective training materials, courses and resources using instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Deliver training sessions: Facilitate various training workshops and onboarding sessions either in-person and virtually, ensuring active participation and understanding among participants.
- Implement eLearning solutions: Utilize technology to create and deliver online training modules and other multimedia content for remote and flexible learning opportunities.
- Evaluate training effectiveness: Measure the impact of training initiatives through feedback, assessments, and performance evaluations, and continuously improve programs based on results.
- Work with Director, L&D to administer and track L&D programs - Buy-a-Book, External Training and Scholarship Programs. Make suggestions on new programs and implementation.
- Stay updated on trends: Keep abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and learning trends to enhance the effectiveness and relevance of training offerings.
- Administer learning management systems (LMS): Manage the LMS platform (UKG Pro Learning), maintain training records, track participant progress, and generate reports to monitor training compliance and effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of learning: Foster a positive learning environment by promoting the value of continuous learning, skill development, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Provide backup and support to other members of the L&D team including Director, L&D and Corporate Social Responsibility & Engagement Specialist.

**Key Selection Criteria**:

- University degree or college diploma with an Adult Education or HR or Business administration combines with a Certificate or specialized training in Adult Learning or working towards a certificate from a recognized college or university is required.
- Experience using a LMS to develop and deliver content is required. Knowledge of Articulate is an asset.
- Experience in providing training in a sales driven organization is an asset.
- Project Management training and/or experience is an asset.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and using judgment and initiative in problem resolution.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills, resulting in the ability to deliver dynamic and interactive training sessions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter who displays excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to effectively organize using a collaborative approach.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals at all levels in a large, multi-national organization.
- Experience in roles requiring the ability to work independently, anticipate next steps, take initiative, exercise discretion and sound judgment, and work collaboratively as a member of the team.
- Resourceful, adaptable, able to meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Possesses the ability to make smart and timely decisions while completing a high volume of tasks and projects with mínimal guidance.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
