Learning and Organizational Development Specialist

**About The Role**
HUB International is looking for a dynamic Learning & OD Specialist on a one-year contract for our Human Resources team based in Toronto. With a background in Human Resources, this role is responsible for developing, coordinating, communicating, and delivering training on employee and organizational development programs, initiatives, and solutions. The L&OD Specialist is also responsible for monitoring the success factors of programs delivered, using a data-driven approach to improve engagement and robust participation.
This position reports to the Chief People Officer and focuses on the performance and development excellence of people and the organization. It is a member of the Talent Management & OD (TMOD) Center of Expertise.

**What You’ll Do**
- Collaborate with the HUB Corporate Talent Development team, Ontario HR team, and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to design and implement employee development programs like Performance Management, Talent Development, Succession Planning, and Employee Engagement.
- Develop and deliver customized, interactive training solutions using multimedia platforms, ensuring a blended approach suitable for remote and in-person sessions.
- Serve as the main point of contact for new hires, providing onboarding materials and conducting webinars on corporate culture, policies, and systems.
- Manage internal communications, including drafting content, organizing training sessions, and maintaining templates for consistent and effective messaging.
- Administer the Learning Management System (LMS) by tracking progress, generating reports, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs.
- Monitor and report on KPIs and metrics to assess program success and drive continuous improvement, integrating industry best practices to support business growth.
- Lead special projects and research initiatives that enhance talent development strategies and optimize team processes.
- Deliver training sessions for managers and employees, ensuring alignment with business strategies and successful adoption of programs and tools.
**Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success**
- A Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Training, and development (CTPD, CTP, or equivalent) is desired.
- Possess at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Learning & Development functions (research, content building, coordinating and delivering training). Background in Human Resource role is desired.
- Strong facilitation, content creation and writing skills to effectively deliver impactful content to a diverse audience at all levels. Strong presentation skills and adept with various multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Knowledge of instructional design methodology, adult learning styles, Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other learning technology platform, research methodology, and assessment tools.
- Working experience as an HR professional (HR Generalist, Administrator or Specialist).
- Able to “think outside of the box” and make innovative recommendations to improve quality of communication, learning content, presentation material, and programs.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and project management skills, as well as the ability to keep all stakeholders informed and current on key projects and priorities.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
- Proficient in virtual learning systems and interactive collaboration tools: MS Teams, Zoom, Skype, etc.
