**WHO YOU ARE**:

- Proficient with payroll processing software: Wagepoint, QBO Payroll, QBD Payroll, etc.
- Someone with strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
- A warm and positive individual, who is intrinsically motivated and who demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- An individual with strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and effectively manage tight deadlines.
- A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with both staff and clients.
- An individual who understands the importance of maintaining privacy and trust with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Someone who is comfortable with taking ownership and resolving issues.

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**:

- A good basic understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations, which could be demonstrated through experience or education.
- Minimum three years of relevant payroll experience.
- PCP designation, or completed payroll courses with practical experience requirements in progress.
- The ability to learn quickly, mentor others, and provide constructive feedback.
- Bilingualism (French/English), which is considered an asset but not required.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:

- Full-cycle payroll: process payroll functions on a weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly basis, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Collect, verify, and process payroll information for small to medium sized businesses across several industries.
- Maintain up-to-date client records related to pay, attendance, vacation, and benefits.
- Handle payroll fillings such as ROEs, garnishments, and union dues, while ensuring compliance.
- Communicate with clients and coworkers, maintaining positive relationships.
- Self-manage workload and projects.
- Perform other duties as required and as assigned.
