Neo Financial is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join the team in Winnipeg, MB. This critical role will oversee the payroll function and ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time. As a member of the People team, this position will provide detailed reviews of our semi-monthly payroll to ensure exceptional quality of output and an optimal employee experience.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Oversee and provide final review for full cycle payroll processing of full-time, part-time, and temporary contract employees
- Responsible for all year-end payroll and regulatory filing requirements
- Design and implement scalable payroll processes and systems
- Ensure compliance with applicable provincial and federal legislation
- Assist in the administration of our employee equity program
- Lead, coach and provide support to a high performance payroll team
- Provide thoughtful research, analysis, and recommendations on our payroll and equity programs
- Ensure that internal controls and audit trails are in place

**Who we are looking for**:

- Experienced payroll professional with a minimum of 3+ years experience in full-cycle payroll and benefits administration
- Payroll experience in a company of 500+ employees; ideally in a fast-paced industry, dealing with fluctuations in seasonal work flow
- Experience with Ceridian DayForce is required
- Experience with employee stock option plans is an asset
- You are process-minded and are always looking for ways to create efficiencies
- You’re comfortable working with autonomy and take ownership over your work
- You’re not afraid to take on initiatives that problem solve and resolve issues
- You’re organized and detail-oriented, with familiarity in handling confidential information
