**THE POSITION**:
CHS has an opening for an Administrative Assistant (Canada Summer Jobs). This is an on
- site, 8-week summer position where the student will work in cooperation with department staff to provide a variety of administrative tasks and office supports. Reporting to the program-specific supervisor/manager. This will be an on-site position supporting our Hearing Health Care and Audiology program services.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist in day-to-day administrative activities at front desk
- Assist in the organization of office documents, archives, and projects, e.g., filing, photocopying.
- Assist with recordkeeping/reporting, updating documents, etc.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment; be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and, have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to details required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a highly confidential environment.
- Previous experience working with Culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened or hard of hearing individuals an asset.
- American Sign Language (ASL) skills an asset.
- French language skills an asset.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- **This is an 8-week contract during the period of June 10, 2024, to August 2, 2024, working 30 hours per week.**_
